The new Graduate visa route has finally arrived on the Home Office website. From 1 July 2021 eligible migrants have been able to apply for this visa, which can confer at least two years’ leave for eligible applicants.
Applicants must have successfully completed a UK degree – either bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate – and they must be in the UK to apply and they must hold a Tier 4 visa or Student visa. With bachelor’s or master’s they will qualify for a two-year visa and with a doctorate they will qualify for a three-year visa.
The application does not require any financial figure for day-to-day maintenance and neither is there any English language requirement – not surprisingly perhaps, bearing in mind that every applicant will have passed a degree taught in English.
Successful applicants have the unrestricted right to work, in either employment or self-employment, and they are able to switch into a work visa such as a Skilled Worker visa.
And already-existing dependants will be able to apply in line with the main applicant.
So this visa will provide a very good opportunity for graduate students to develop their career in the UK.
If you are, or think you may be, interested in this visa we will be able to help and advise you.

This all sounds rather technical, and it is, but in some cases it is very important. We will try and explain why. It is crucial to avoid becoming an overstayer. You must submit your visa extension application before your current visa expires. But suppose, for example, you hold a spouse entry clearance visa which will […]

My wife’s visa situation was extremely difficult as she came into the UK on a visa waiver, she is from Iran and although I am British, my employment was in China. Adel (the lawyer) was extremely helpful and paid great attention to detail. An example of this is that the pay slips from China were extremely difficult to obtain and when I got them, they were not exactly how they should be. Adel very patiently explained how they should be and ensured that each and every document was at the highest possible standard for the Home Office. My wife was able to get a residence permit and if we had attempted to apply for the visa without the help of GET UK VISA, we would not have had such a positive ending. I truly thank them for all the help and guidance they offered us throughout a very tricky situation which led to the Best possible outcome. Thank you again Adel and GET UK VISA.
