Global Business Mobility Visas
On 11 April 2022 there are going to be some important changes in the immigration rules concerning working visas.
The Representative of an Overseas Business visa and the Intra-Company Transfer visa are going to be abolished, and some new visa routes – the Global Business Mobility visas – are going to be created.
The new routes are as follows:
Senior or Specialist Worker Visa (this will replace the Intra-Company Transfer visa)
Graduate Trainee Visa (this will replace the Intra-Company Transfer Graduate Trainee visa)
UK Expansion Worker Visa (this will replace the Representative of an Overseas Business visa)
Secondment Worker Visa (this is a temporary worker route)
Service Supplier Visa (this is also a temporary worker route)
There are some features in the new visa routes which are different to what was there before. In every case there will be a requirement for sponsorship and in every case there will not be any route to settlement and in every case there will be no English language requirement. This will of course make significant changes to the Representative of an Overseas Representative visa.
Applications for these visas should be open on 11 April and and if you want to apply under the old Representative of an Overseas Business or Intra-Company Transfer rules you must make your application before then.
If you want further advice about this we will be able to help you.
